Yekaterinburg is the fourth largest city in Russia, east of the Ural Mountains,

at the boundary between Asia and Europe. The population of the city is 1,488,791 inhabitants.

Yekaterinburg has been dubbed the "third capital of Russia", as it is ranked third by the size of economy, culture, transportation and tourism. The city was founded in 1723 when one of the biggest iron-steel plants

in Europe was built on the banks of the Iset River. It is known for the golden-domed Church on the Blood 

built in the early 21st century on the site of the 1918 Romanov executions. 

The city is rich in interesting museums and galleries, amazing theatres and nice restaurant
